Happy NEW year everyone!!  2012 feels different to me.  There is a cool energy and excitment buzzing around in my body.  I think it's going to be a really amazing year.  So happy to have you on the ride with me :)  Thank you!!!  P.S.  The world may end this year, but I would advise against giving away all your money in the event that that may happen.  Unless you want to sponsor a musician in the arts.  Then we can talk ;)

We are so excited to have the opportunity to play for a bunch of the PA institutions this year.  They are some of the most grateful, excited audiences we have played for.  Sorry, ya'll can't come.  But we will let you know how it goes.  If it was anything like last year, we'll leave totally heartened - in perfect time for the holidays :)   Check the line-up on the "shows" page.

This is how it works:

With these videos, our judges will select a regional winner from each round, who then advances to our live performance finals competition here in New York on October 20, 2011 at the World Financial Center's Winter Garden.

Additionally, our 'People's Choice' voting competition is now live (absent your videos, which we'll take live next Friday), where we encourage people to visit the regional round video pages and vote for their favorite artist from each region. Seeing as we'll all be encouraging friends, family and fans to the site to vote, it's a highly effective way to introduce your music to thousands of new fans. When we close the voting, we tally the votes and the regional finalist with the most overall votes becomes our 'People's Choice' winner and advances to our finals!

What an honor to be one of the six winners of the 2011 NewFolk Competition!  Thank you Kerrville and the Rouse's for such a wonderful festival.  The six of us will be touring TX in November, so keep an eye out!

 I submitted "Waited For June", and was selected as a finalist in this year's competition.  Cool beans, not lima ones.
